Hello Readers!
It's Halloween weekend in the U.S., so we'll keep this short & sweet! Do you feel warm hearing about or watching people and communities thrive? That's the power of empathy! As individuals or communities evolve, we too, can feel a sense of emotional growth or purge negative emotions. It's a rewarding and uplifting personal experience!
Here’s what we’re discussing today:
Ugandan Youth Interested in Healthcare
Wefwafwa’s Journey to Higher Education
Rewriting the Narrative on Food Security with 210 Orphans
Young Boy Wants to Become Doctor.
This week, Wefwafwa introduces Hussein, a young Ugandan boy aspiring to be a doctor. Check out Wefwafwa’s 4 minute video if you missed it!
Ugandan youth are the future for building self-sufficient, future-ready communities in Uganda.
Why It Matters: This presents a fresh chance for a young individual in Wefwafwa’s community to acquire the medical skills Wefwafwa has demonstrated. Consider the potential:
Expanding Healthcare System: Additional medical officers (eventually doctors) in the Manafwa District can better assist with treatment, care, and follow-up.
Stronger Communities: More people in this rural Ugandan area will have access to healthcare professionals.
Inspiring Initiative: Cultivating local expertise by supporting the ambitions of young people.
Imagine even more youth in the community developing a passion for healthcare and opting for careers in this field.
This would significantly expand access to medical services and treatment in the long run.
We’re excited to see how this unfolds—hopefully, we'll catch more glimpses of Hussein in future videos!
Fun fact: he's been observing Wefwafwa for a while in many videos.
A Look Back.
Wefwafwa has worked in his community for four years as a medical clinical officer.
Three weeks ago, Wefwafwa shared this video about starting his journey to study his Bachelor’s in Medicine and Surgery.
He realized his community needs a doctor, and he is pursuing further education to bring this need directly to them.
Wefwafwa has a ton of experience under his belt. We wish him the best in his studies and look forward to supporting him throughout the upcoming years!
Orphanage in Wefwafwa’s Community.
210 orphaned children were excited to receive free meals two weeks ago. Check it out here!

The increased access to food security is expected to boost their academic performance, contributing to future productivity.
Food security reduces stress and anxiety related to basic needs, allowing children to focus on educational and personal growth.
Better nutrition can improve children's concentration and cognitive skills.
Improved academic performance can lead to better job opportunities, breaking the cycle of poverty.
A well-fed, educated population is more likely to contribute positively to the community.
Contributions from Wefwafwa’s supporters helped make the free meal program possible.
Wefwafwa's efforts and presence fundamentally impacted over 200 children who will grow up to become healthier and productive community members.
